How to Register a Proposal. 1. Material: This program was designed to run on almost all the IBM compatible PC's. If you encounter problems executing this program, try to reboot your machine with the proposal's disk into your drive A. 2. Running the program: Put the proposal disk into your drive A. At the DOS prompt type A: then type PROPOSAL 3. How to register a proposal: There are four steps to follow to register a proposal : 1. for each organisation participating in the proposal, enter the individual profile; 2. enter the contact person information; 3. enter the proposal administrative summary; 4. run the check data consistency procedure. The last step will be important; if the consistency of the data is not OK, the Commission have great difficulty in processing it, which may result in delays in the evaluation. The main menu lets you access each of the above steps. When editing the proposal data , pressing F4 on some fields will make appear a pop-up window with valid values you can choose; pressing F1 will call for help on the purpose of the field. Press F10 to save the information you've entered. Press Esc to exit this screen without saving the modifications. 3.1. More information. When choosing "1.More Information", you get this text. You can browse that text with the cursor keys. 3.2. Organisations. When choosing "2.Organisations", you get a list (empty at start-up) of the organisations you've entered. You can move in that list with the cursor keys. Press Insert to create a new one. Press Delete for deleting the corresponding organisation. Press Enter to edit the individual participant profile. For each participant, you must enter: a short name a legal name an address an administrative role a functional role an industrial sector 3.3. Contact Person. When choosing "3. Contact person" you can enter the summary information of the contact person for the consortium during the proposal evaluation. 3.4. Resource Breakdown. When choosing "4. Proposal Resource breakdown", you can edit the proposal administrative summary. In that screen you can enter the proposal data and the costs, effort and funding regime for each participant. 3.5. Check Data Consistency. The check data consistency procedure will verify that the proposal you entered is valid and can be processed by the Commission. You should always run this procedure before printing the report. A check 'û' appear on the main screen, to show that the proposal is valid. If not, you get a report with the invalid data. 3.6. Report. When choosing "5. Report", the program asks you if your printer supports graphics character sets. If you don't know, select Yes. If the result is not readable, select No. 3.7. Exit Program. Choose "7. Exit program" to quit the aplication. Check that data are valid before quitting.
